07:30: Guide and vehicle pick up at hotel for tour. This busy full day tour takes you first to the rural yet world-famous floating market of Damnern Saduak, situated around 100 kilometers west of Bangkok. It is generally known as Klong Ton Khem Floating Market or Damnern Saduak Floating Market. Damnern Saduak has officially three floating markets. A narrow canal flanked with food stalls and souvenir shops forms the principal market at Ton Kem. Farther south are the rarely visited markets at Her Kui and Khun Pitak. Photographers at Ton Kem will get their best shots from the bridge, which crosses over the canal, and from the produce shed on the right. Nowadays, the market is bustling with activity from very early in the morning until about 11.00 am.

We continue to the world famous bridge on the River Kwai, built during World War II by the prisoners of war. The bridge is located near the town of Kanchanaburi, 130 kilometers west of Bangkok. You will visit the well-kept Wat Cemetery of Allied Prisoners, which contain the graves of an estimated 9,000 Allied soldiers who lost their lives while building the bridge and constructing the notorious "Death Railway” which the Japanese had hoped to stretch all the way to the Burmese border. This tour will bring you also closer to the past, as paying a visit to the JEATH Museum (the name “JEATH” is derived from Japan, England, America/Australia, Thailand and Holland), where the past has been created and relived with pictures and artifacts out of this time.

We will return back to Bangkok in the late afternoon to your booked hotel.

Depart Bangkok in the morning for northern Thailand. Our first stop is at Bang Pa In, the former summer residence of the kings of Ayutthaya built in the 18th century. There we’ll visit the Royal Palace, the Thai pavilion, the Chinese-style Palace Vihat Chamrun with their trimmed bushes in elephant shapes. Continue to Ayutthaya, which used to be the capital of Siam from 1350 to 1767 and visit the most interesting temples. Proceed to Lopburi, visiting Phra Prang Sam Yod, a temple with three towers and impressive ornaments as well as the shrine of the Hindu Goddess Kali at the Sarn Prakarn Temple.

Lunch at a local restaurant then continue on to Phitsanuloke.

Proceed to Sukhothai, the first capital (13th century) of the Thai Kingdom. Old Sukhothai is one of Asia’s most important historical sites and therefore under the supervision of UNESCO.

After a visit of the temples Wat Sra Sri and Wat Sri Chum, we continue to Sri Satchanalai, the former sister town of Sukhothai for lunch and a visit to some of its most interesting temples and ruins.

We drive further North to Chiang Rai and check in at your hotel.

North Thailand is well known for its exotic hill tribes and this morning we will visit some of their villages. The drive takes us on narrow hilly roads through beautiful landscape with spectacular views to the villages of the Akha and Yao hill tribes.

Then drive to Mae Sai, which is the most northern town of Thailand on the border of Burma.

Take lunch then continue to the center of the famous Golden Triangle, the meeting point of the borders of Burma, Laos and Thailand. For those who would like to come even closer to the border of Burma and Laos, an optional trip by boat on the Mekong River will be on offer.

Visit to the old Opium House before continuing to the provincial town of Chiang Saen, which is located at the scenic borders of the Mekong River. Return to the hotel.

Drive to Mae Ka Chan, which is famous for its hot springs.

Then we continue our trip through scenic hillsides and jungles to Chiang Mai, the “Rose of the North “.

Drive to Wat Phra Dhat Doi Suthep mountain temple then continue to the hotel.

In the evening, a traditional Kantoke traditional dinner is on the program. Typical Thai dishes from the northern region are served while elegant Thai dancers are performing.

In the morning we visit an elephant camp to see how elephants work and maybe take an optional elephant ride. Visit to the Orchid & Butterfly Farm before taking a local lunch. Visit the handicraft villages at San Kampaeng The various traditional handicrafts are fascinating to watch and there are chances to purchase the pieces also.

Transfer from the hotel to Chiang Mai Airport for your departure flight to Hanoi. The tour guide and driver will pick you up at Noi Bai international airport (Hanoi) and transfer to the city centre for hotel check-in. Hotel rooms may not be ready until 14:00 hrs but an early check-in would be guaranteed with a surcharge.

Free at leisure for the rest of the day.

8:00 Tour guide will pick you up at your hotel, start your city tour by taking photos and learn about the history of the Hanoi Old quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake as well as the Hanoi Opera House . Ride around the city, outside of the Old Quarter, where most tourists don’t visit. Take a number of short stops to take photos and the tour guide leader will take you on a foot tour to learn about the history of the sites including Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the Temple of Literature - the first university of Vietnam and is constructed to dedicate to Confucius. Enjoying a range of small Vietnamese snacks.

Then ride around West Lake, pass some of the most exclusive real estate in Vietnam to find out lifestyle differences between center district and others. Have lunch at an authentic Vietnamese Restaurant.

Meet at your hotel in Hanoi at around 20:00 hrs and transfer to Hanoi train station. Overnight train trip to Lao Cai in shared sleeping compartments (sharing with other passengers in 2 lower & 2 upper berths per compartment). Train departs at approximately 21:15 hrs.

8:00: Our driver and tour guide pick you up at your hotel then depart for Ninh Binh province. Ninh Binh is located south of the Northern Delta, between the Red River and Ma River. The old city of Ninh Binh is one of many famous historic sites in Vietnam. The provincial town of Ninh Binh as diverse landscapes because of its proximity to the mountains of Non Nuoc and Canh Dieu. Arrive in Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, visit 2 Temples of 2 Kings (Dinh Bo Linh and Le Hoan

Then our driver will transfer you from Hoa Lu to Tam Coc Wharf to have lunch in a local restaurant in Tam Coc and enjoy famous specialties of Ancient Capital area.

In the afternoon, Take a 5 minute walk to the Tam Coc Wharf and start the 2 hour boat trip to visit 3 caves: Hang Ca (First Cave), Hang Hai (Second Cave) and Hang Ba (Third Cave). Each cave owns an unique scenery which will dazzle you as you get in.

Afterwards, Take up cycling for an hour to Bich Dong and sight see beautiful scenic pagodas, lush paddy fields, mountains, river and caves. Then get on bus and our driver will take you back to Hanoi.

Halong Bay is listed by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage and voted as a Wonder of Nature by the New7Wonders Foundation. You will have a night staying in this world famous bay.

11:30 - 12:00 Upon arrival at the pier, embark on the boat and set sail on a cruise through the limestone cliffs and emerald waters of Halong Bay, taking in the spectacular scenery of this UNESCO World Heritage site. Lunch is served as you cruise by impressive rock formations with unusual names and shapes.

In the afternoon you will start to discover Halong Bay, listed as a World Heritage of outstanding natural beauty, known in Vietnamese as “Dragon descending to the sea“. Depending on each cruise’s itinerary of the day, you may visit a beautiful cave, have some swimming at Titop or Soi Sim beach.

Wake up by the sounds of the sea. After breakfast, cruise will take tourists to explore the most stunning caves in Halong. Boat starts cruising back to the harbor while brunch is served. We continue cruising through the bay, along the way seeing more of the fascinating formations. When backing on shore we will then transfer by car to the airport in Hanoi to catch a flight to Hue. It will take about 1 hour 20 minutes on flight. Welcomed by our driver in Hue Airport then we will be transferred to hotel in Hue Check in hotel, free at leisure the rest of the day.

08:00 – 08:15 Pick up at your hotel Enjoy your wonderful day by taking a boat trip to visit the seven-storey Thien Mu Pagoda. Thien Mu pagoda is one of the most beautiful and ancient architectural structures of worshiping in Vietnam now. Thien Mu Pagoda has become one of the most famous tourist attractions in Hue City now. Then visit Dong Ba market, the biggest and most significant market in Hue in particular and Central Viet Nam in general.

Continue your journey to discover the Imperial Citadel then make your way to the Hue Royal Antiques Museum to see a collection of ornaments. Hue Royal Antiquities Museum where preserves royal treasures has a history with many changes. The main exhibition house of the present museum used to be a palace under Nguyen Dynasty, called Long An Palace. It was built in 1845 by Thieu Tri King, located on the north of Ngu Ha River. It was a type of “isolated palace” for the king.

If the time permitted, before returning to the hotel, we will stop at Old Market. You will find artifacts, gold and silver jewelery, precious stones, silk, stone and wood carvings, as well as shirts, CD and other memorabilia. Then, back to Hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
